For example, let us investigate making a mangojuice. Consistently, one worker will empty mangoes from the truck to the kitchen, another representative will wash the mangoes, another worker will be cutting the mangoes into little pieces, and another representative will mix the mangoes to make mango juice. While we can see logical administration improves efficiency in this mango juice making process there is likewise dullness all the while, be that as it may, it takes care of business quick and in a basic manner. In contrast to logical administration hypothesis, exemplary association hypothesis being a merger of logical administration, bureaucratic hypothesis and managerial hypothesis, itis broadly utilized in organizations with more accentuation on the executives with away from of specialists and pecking order. Caffeine use is common, and it is the worlds most popular psychoactive drug, and it is completely freely available and unregulated in the United States and throughout much of the globe. It is an ingredient in a large variety of everyday foods and drinks and can be found in many over-the-counter and prescription medications. It is also often used as a cutting agent in illicit drugs, particularly stimulants. Where Caffeine Come From Caffeine occurs naturally in several plants and is most commonly known for its presence in the coffee beanâ"used to make coffee, the cocoa beanâ"used to make chocolate, and the tea leafâ"used to make tea. It also occurs in the kola nutâ"used to flavor cola drinks, and the guarana berry, a less common additive to beverages, which is also available as a health food supplement. Several other plants contain caffeine. Synthetic caffeine is a surprisingly common food and beverage additive. Use in Everyday Foods and Drinks It is well known that caffeine is present in coffee, a very popular adult beverage in the United States. Less commonly known is the presence of caffeine in a large array of other beverages, such as teaâ"including green tea, which is commonly thought of as a healthier alternative to black and orange pekoe teas, as well as beverages such as cola and other types of soda, sports drinks, and drinks that are marketed as healthy. Caffeine is also a common food ingredient in chocolate and other foods containing cocoa. It is often thought that people who become addicted to chocolateâ"chocoholicsâ"are actually addicted to the caffeine in chocolate. In fact, the true picture of the addictive nature of chocolate is much more complex, as chocolate contains another addictive substance, sugar, and sugar addiction is now well documented. Use in Recreational Drugs There is a fine line between whether caffeine is considered a food or a recreational drug. We think nothing of adults drinking tea and coffee in front of their children, whereas injecting heroin or smoking crack in front of a child would be shockingâ"and grounds for removal of the child from their parents care. Yet as the concentration of caffeine gets higher, the effects become more pronounced, and now some high-caffeine beverages are marketed as legal recreational drugs. The stimulant effects of caffeine, as well as its legal status and availability, make it a common cutting ingredient in street drugs, such as cocaine and meth. Use in Pharmaceutical Drugs Caffeine is also used as an ingredient in a variety of pharmaceutical drug preparations. Many painkillers contain caffeine because caffeine increases their effectiveness. It is also added to many medications that cause drowsiness in order to counteract this side effect. Caffeine Use in Sports Prior to 2004, caffeine was included as a prohibited substance with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). In 2004, caffeine was removed from the prohibited list. WADA acknowledges the presence of caffeine in many foods and beverages, and the risk that it can be abused in sportsâ"therefore, although the use of caffeine is not prohibited, it is part of WADAs monitoring program. Furthermore, he goes on in such works as the Vitruvian Man and Virgin and Child with St. Anne to incorporate the golden rectangle into everything he possibly can. He was by no means enthralled in art. Instead, his great passions were mathematics and the natural world, and he compiled volumes of detailed drawings and notes on anatomy, botany, geology, meteorology, architectural design, and mechanics. (Stokstad, 693) Toward the end of his life math, particularly the golden ratio, began to dominate everything he created. Leonardo da Vinci died in 1519. Another painter that used, primarily, golden rectangles was Piet Mondrian. In, Composition with Gray and Light Brown virtually every rectangle has the ââ¬Å"pleasingâ⬠dimensions. World Religious Traditions By John Martin Luther King Jr.
Sydney Smith October 15, 2015 World Religious Traditions Professor Wilson Essay #2 According to the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., there is a distinct difference between ââ¬Å"justâ⬠and ââ¬Å"unjust lawsâ⬠. King writes, ââ¬Å"A just law is a man made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral lawâ⬠(Michaelvdg 2010). This concept dates back to a philosophy developed by the Romans. The Romanââ¬â¢s code was between these two concepts, ââ¬Å"Ius Gentiumâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Ius Naturalisâ⬠. Ius Gentium means a law that is universally practiced, where Ius Naturalis means natural law (Michaelvdg 2010). One way to explain the difference between the two is by using slavery as an example. Slavery wasâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Would that not come naturally to us? But what is too far when it comes to just and unjust? If we see someone being hurt on the street, do we give ourselves the flexibility to go attack the attacker and save the victim? Where is the line drawn? An important concept from Dr. Kingââ¬â¢s letter is civil disobedience. Civil disobedience is when someone intentionally refuses to abide by specific laws, demands, and commands of someone in charge. Civil disobedience is when one decides to prioritize their conscience rather than to listen to rules. I consider just and unjust laws a valid argument for civil disobedience to a certain point. I find it hard to argue because I believe that some people may take advantage of this concept. I believe that under certain conditions, it is okay, to break the law, as long as it is for the better of the people, earth, or another important factor in quality of life relating to a person, animal or planet life. Personally, I believe that if someone has a strong grasp on human emotions, and comprehends that other humans have the same emotions, such as, we feel the same feelings (physical or psychological), then breaking the law in the name of ââ¬Å"moral lawâ⬠, could be an action tha t they could take. For example, if someone is robbing an innocent mother as she loads her children into their car, I see nothing wrong with that mother grabbing a

Victimization of Women in Society with Regard to Anita Nair, S Ladiescoupe Essays Victimization of Women in Society with Regard to Anita Nair, S Ladiescoupe Essay Victimization of Women in Society with Regard to Anita Nair, S Ladiescoupe Essay etc. , shrink from grandeur to petty profit-taking. (48) The question ââ¬ËWho conquered whomââ¬â¢ melts into insignificance: ââ¬Å"history is written by victors, but in the case of India, itââ¬â¢s not always clear who won, is it? 90) It is that both the victor (West) and the vanquished (East) mutually enriched the sensibility of the two cultures. It is a strange divine coincidence that John Mistââ¬â¢s creation of the ââ¬Å"Mist-Namaâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Mishtigunjâ⬠is along a line which the ancient tradition of India endorses. The discovery of such a wonderful treasure is made possible by the research work of an Indian immigrant in America, Tara. Both John Mist and Tara are in a way immigrants. The philosophical axiom is that cultures are not fixed entities like ââ¬Å"quantity. Naturally ââ¬Ëbeingââ¬â¢ andââ¬â¢ becomingââ¬â¢ are not static. The mutations have repercussions. Though the word ââ¬Ë beingââ¬â¢ created a misleading picture of fixity and permanence, it has the character of fabric. The British conquest of India forms the context of the new in which these issues are raised indirectly. The history of Mishtigunj created by British Hindu John Mist puts obstacles in the way of glibly accepting the two categories ââ¬Ëbeingââ¬â¢ and ââ¬Ëbecomingââ¬â¢. What determines history is not its concern with outward form but the ââ¬Ëinner implicationsââ¬â¢ is which it unconsciously creates. It is this history which has created a martyr, John Mist. Tara Lata Gangooly represents the best of the East and her predecessor John Mist represents both the best of the East and the best of the West. Characters like Virgil Treadwell are more concerned with the British form and decorum than with the essence of life. Both John Mist and Tara Lata Gangooly live at a deeper level while men like Virgil Treadwell move on a superficial plane. There are many places where Virgil Treadwell is compared to Churchill and Nixon and he is satirized subtly. Both John Mist and Tara Lata died a martyrââ¬â¢s death. The former was hanged in 1880 on a charge of disobedience of the British Colonial venture and the latter died in a prison in 1943 on the same charges of treason, sedition and disobedience. These events and situations by themselves are utterly insignificant. But the effect and impact they leave have a lasting value. It is this fact which enable the readers arrives at a philosophical link between being and becoming both is that the reality of life permits a movement between being and becoming. Liking John Mist, Tara Lata, Virgil and their life styles lead the leader draw an intelligent interference events and circumstances keeps them in a state of transition and transformation. It is a great achievement on the part of the novelist to aim at an imaginative-historical reconstruction of Mishtigunj. Bharathi Mukherjee is not a thoughless immigrant. Her loyalty to the essence of life gives her a new responsibility to rephrase the issue of the contact and correlation between being and becoming.

How to Write a Graduate School Acceptance Letter
How to Write a Graduate School Acceptance Letter Youveà applied to graduate schools, and lo and behold, youve been accepted to the program of your dreams. You may think youre all set and you need onlyà pack yourà bags, book a flight or load your car, and head out to grad school. But, you need to take one more step to ensure your position at the school will be open and ready for you when you arrive: Youll need to write an acceptance letter. Admissions officers have to be sure that you are ready to attend; otherwise, they will likely give your spot to another candidate. Before Writing Your Letter or Email Your graduate school applications were just the first step. Maybe you receivedà severalà offers of admission, maybe not. Either way, remember to share the good news with friends and family first. Dont forget to thank your mentors and people who wroteà recommendation letters on your behalf. You want to maintain your educational and professional contacts as your academic career progresses. Writing Your Reply Most grad programs notify applicants of their acceptance- or rejection- by email or phone, although a few still send formal letters by mail. Regardless of how youre notified, dont immediately say yes. This is especially important if the good news comes in a phone call. Thank the caller, likely a professor, and explain that you will reply soon. Dont worry: You wont suddenly have your acceptance revoked if you briefly delay. Most programs give accepted students a window of a few days- or even up to a week or two- to decide. Once youve had a chance to digest the good news and consider your options, its time to write your graduate school acceptance letter. You can respond via a letter that you send through the mail or you can reply by email. In either case, your response should be short, respectful, and clearly indicate your decision. Sample Acceptance Letter or Email Feel free to use the sample letter or email below. Simply replace the name of the professor, admissions officer, or admissions committee of the school as appropriate: Dear Dr. Smith (or Admissions Committee): I am writing to accept your offer to enroll in the X program at [graduate university]. Thank you, and I appreciate your time and consideration during the admissions process. I look forward to attending your program this fall and am excited by the opportunities that await. Sincerely, Rebecca R. Student Though your correspondence seemingly states the obvious, it is very important that you make it clear that you intend to enroll in the graduate program. And, being polite- such as saying thank you- is always important in any official correspondence. Before You Send the Letter or Email As you would with any important correspondence, take the time to reread your letter or email before you send it. Ensure that it doesnt have any misspellings or grammatical errors. Once youre satisfied with your acceptance letter, send it. If youve been accepted into more than one grad program, youve still got some homework to do. Youll need to write a letter declining an offer of admissionsà to each of the programs you rejected. As with your acceptance letter, make it short, direct, and respectful.

An essay on harriot story Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
An on harriot story - Essay Example Still, the reader is struck by the detail, and the effort to be accurate, so Harriot becomes an auditor of all he surveyed. His words, although spelled inconsistently (as was then quite common) and phrased awkwardly, are not very hard to understand even from this distance in time. Remembering this man wrote with a quill and ink, with only available light, it amazes with quality of detail and recall: this is not a quick method such as typing, but a laborious hand task. It gave him time to think and consider his words carefully, which modern readers, who are used to backspacing and cutting and pasting, highlighting and copying to edit, must respect for its results. It is a clear and concise report. A student must deal with distracting words such as thereof, hereafter and wherein to get at the core of the communication, and also remember that although it is early history of the United States of America, this was an Englishman writing in the English language of the day and according to English custom and usage. What strikes the reader immediately is the point Harriot makes about using the discovered ââ¬Ëcountryââ¬â¢ for making money for England: his eye was mainly on the financial and physical benefits available. His aim, and the aim of those he wrote to was to ââ¬Ë... enrich your selves the providers.ââ¬â¢ This is not a cultural expedition, where they did everything they could to find out about the ââ¬Ënatural inhabitantsââ¬â¢. The ir intention was strictly financial: to accumulate wealth and resources for England. The list of resources is very interesting, and shows how advanced England was in a scientific sense in the mid-1500s. They knew all about extracting metallic ores, and Harriotââ¬â¢s understanding of what could be done with certain plants and natural products is excellent, which is probably why he was sent out in the first place. (Baym Ibid) It seems a bit confronting at first to find the report so exploitative: the intention was to use one

Any controversial issue of interest to explore Essay
Any controversial issue of interest to explore - Essay Example Some of the well known social media platforms include Facebook, Google+, Wikipedia, Linkedln, Twitter, Pinterest among others. The use of social media as a means of propagating information has attracted divergent views and opinions as some argue in its favour while some feel that social media is not a proper tool for sharing thoughts and other information. Those who are against the use of social media have defended their line of thought on a number of factors which include the fact that social networking reduces face-to-face interaction. The autonomy associated with the virtual world allows people to create a lot of fantasy persona or pretending to be someone else. It thus creates a means through which some people can avoid the realities of life leading to increased cases of mistrust. Someone can easily block or cut off the flow of communication from another person whom they may not share similar views and opinions. Online communication is a tool towards crippling the development of social skills and conflict resolution strategies. Negative opinions toward social media have been supported by the fact that it is a means of fraud or identity theft. The information sent on social media platform can be accessed by anyone who has interest in it even those to whom it was not intended to reach. The information is subject to different interpretations and misunderstanding (Wankel, 34). The aspect of sharing personal information puts people at risk of being defrauded as some criminals have mastered the act of stealing personal details. Hacking presents a major weakness of social media as evident by the increasing cases of accounts and profiles of people being hacked. This leads to serious misdemeanor of identity theft and the process does not need on to be very techno-savvy to be successful but just a little knowledge in technology. Sensitive information such as passwords,

Should the Drinking Age be Lowered? Essay -- Law, Sociology
Although exceptions to every generality exist, alcohol is usually present in most gathering where adults are also in attendance. If one really examines the idea, alcohol is usually at every social event even if adults are not. At this point it would probably be important to know who actually is considered to be an adult. From country to country the answer varies but in the United States of America anyone of the age of eighteen is liable and treated just like adults of any age. Consequently, one could say that the previous statement is technically, in the majority of circumstances, incorrect in that when alcohol is around so are adults. When mentioned in such a way, nothing seems to be out of place except that in the United States the legal alcohol consumption age is twenty-one. There are not many sides one may take when contemplating this alcohol consumption law, one is either for it or against it. Many believe that if the drinking age is lowered it should rightfully be lowered to eighteen. These individuals have a number of reasons to support their ideology. John McCardell Jr. is one of those individuals and actually developed a complete organization in 2006 known as Choose Responsibility that promotes his philosophy (Cloud). McCardell Jr. is the head of Middlebury College and believes eighteen to twenty year olds should be eligible to consume alcoholic beverages as long as they are licensed (Cloud). To receive this license one must first complete a course that is around forty-two hours long and consists of the explanations of the chemistry, history, psychology, and sociology of alcohol that may include AA, alcoholics anonymous, meetings (Cloud). McCardell Jr., along with others, also believes that if one is considered an a... ...at can be done to minimize all the problems alcohol provides; I think the first step in assimilating a similar attitude is by education and through example from older adults to young adults. Maybe McCardellââ¬â¢s forty-two hour course of everything one should know to fully understand the results of consuming alcohol would be beneficial for the general public. With that being said the age should still remain twenty-one and adults should not be one-hundred percent intolerable towards teens that might have slipped some alcohol by, after all who has not broken a rule here and there? I believe if a little ignorance is given to the provocation it will disappear. Works Cited Cloud, John. "Should the Drinking Age Be Lowered?" Time.com. Time US, 06 June 2008. Web. 05 Feb. 2012. Succubus Revealed Chapter 11
It was hard leaving Seth's side in the morning. We'd had too few nights together recently, and each day that passed only served to remind me I was that much closer to the transfer. Lying in his arms, watching him sleep in the early sunlight, I thought back to what he'd said about Andrea getting better. If that was true, if she was healing, then there was a chance the ties keeping Seth here might lessen. I felt selfish even thinking that way, but surely it wasn't too terrible a thing to wish we could all get a happy ending. After a leisurely breakfast, Seth and I went over to the Mortensens'. He was on babysitting duty while Andrea went to a doctor's appointment, and I was there to pick up Brandy. Chaos met us at the door, and Brandy practically flew outside, breathless and laughing. ââ¬Å"Don't go in there,â⬠she warned me, after I gave Seth a quick kiss good-bye. She and I headed toward my car. ââ¬Å"It's crazy. Mom and Dad slept in, and Grandma let Kendall and the twins ââ¬Ëhelp' with breakfast.â⬠ââ¬Å"What are they making?â⬠ââ¬Å"Waffles,â⬠she said. ââ¬Å"From scratch. I don't know which was scarier: Kendall mixing the batter or Morgan and McKenna on duty with the waffle iron. They set the smoke detector off twice.â⬠I couldn't help but laugh as I pulled out of the driveway. ââ¬Å"And you and Kayla didn't help?â⬠ââ¬Å"No way,â⬠Brandy replied. ââ¬Å"I stayed away from that mess, and Kayla was in one of her silent moods today.â⬠ââ¬Å"Aw.â⬠I kind of wished now that I'd taken a moment to go inside. Tiny Kayla had a special place in my heart. Though she was better than she used to be, she still had a tendency to simply watch her world without a word, and it could be difficult coaxing conversation from her. Some of this was shyness, and some of this ââ¬â I suspected ââ¬â was from the fact that Kayla was psychic. Her skills were still undeveloped, but she was sensitive to the workings of the supernatural world, which I had to imagine would make anyone of any age silent at times. ââ¬Å"She'll be fine. She loves waffles.â⬠Brandy smiled, and I was happy to see her so upbeat for a change. She shouldered just as much stress as the adults. ââ¬Å"If any actually get made.â⬠We drove downtown, and I quizzed Brandy about what she was looking for in a dress. She had little to offer, which was both charming and kind of heartbreaking. Brandy wasn't a tomboy, but with all of her family drama, dresses had been understandably off her radar. In fact, when her face lit up at all the downtown lights and decorations, it became clear that family had really been the only thing in her life recently. ââ¬Å"I haven't seen any of the holiday stuff this year,â⬠she told me, gazing out the windows. A pang in my heart reminded me that this would be my last year to see Seattle in all its holiday finery. ââ¬Å"We usually always come down here so that the girls can see Santa. There's been no time.â⬠ââ¬Å"The girls haven't seen Santa?â⬠I asked, snapping out of my moment of self-pity. ââ¬Å"That's not fair, especially considering I see a little too much of him.â⬠It made me wonder how many drinks it would take to coax Walter into a house call. It also convinced me more than ever to make this a special day for Brandy. I couldn't expect her not to worry about her mom, but today, with Andrea on the mend and Seattle's shopping wonderland ready to explore, Brandy was entitled to worry just a little less than usual. She deserved to think about herself. I took her on a whirlwind tour of designer stores, chastising her for looking at price tags. I wanted this to be about more than the dress itself. I wanted her to have an experience, to feel like a princess. I made sure the salespeople were falling all over themselves to help her, which wasn't always so easy to do at such a busy time of the year. Brandy's radiant expression told me it was worth the effort, and we finally hit gold at our third store, finding what was unquestionably the dress. It was made of dark pink satin wrapped around to create a sheath silhouette that could still show off her figure without being pornographically tight. Satin flowers near the top added a whimsical edge, and the straps and knee-length made me feel it wouldn't get her kicked out of a church function. We spent the next hour finding the perfect shoes and jewelry for it, and although each new purchase clearly made her uneasy, she stopped questioning me about the cost. She didn't know about Margaret's f unding, but it had long since been spent. Exhausted and triumphant with our purchases, we went to lunch at an Italian restaurant frequented by other ladies of leisure. It was inside a larger, elegant shopping complex, and just as we were about to enter the restaurant, I saw a familiar face emerge from a nearby store. Something in my chest clenched, and I spoke before I could help myself. ââ¬Å"Doug!â⬠It took him a moment to figure out who'd called to him. When he did, a series of emotions played over his face. I wondered then how the encounter would have been different if Brandy hadn't been there. Would he have even acknowledged me? Maybe. Maybe not. But Brandy's presence guaranteed politeness. No matter how angry Doug might be at me, he wouldn't snub her. ââ¬Å"Kincaid,â⬠he said, strolling over to us. ââ¬Å"And little Brandy. How's it going?â⬠ââ¬Å"Good,â⬠she said cheerfully. The two of them, I realized, could have been related if Seth and Maddie had ended up getting married. The weird fallout from their breakup hadn't had as big an effect on Brandy as the rest of us, though, and she was genuinely happy to see him. ââ¬Å"We're shopping.â⬠He favored her with a smile, and I wondered if he was avoiding eye contact with me. ââ¬Å"Last minute Christmas gifts?â⬠he asked. ââ¬Å"Not a chance,â⬠I said. ââ¬Å"This is all for Brandy. She's going to a dance tonight.â⬠ââ¬Å"Oh, I see how it is,â⬠he said. ââ¬Å"Getting ready to break some hearts for the holidays, huh?â⬠She turned bright red. ââ¬Å"No! It's at my church!â⬠Teasing girls was familiar and easy territory for Doug. ââ¬Å"Yeah?â⬠he said, forcibly keeping a straight face. ââ¬Å"Then why are you blushing? Church boys' hearts break just as easily as us sinners', you know. I'm sure you'll leave a trail of hundreds in your wake.â⬠ââ¬Å"No,â⬠she protested. ââ¬Å"Not hundreds ââ¬â ââ¬Å" ââ¬Å"Just one?â⬠he asked slyly. Brandy looked to me for help, and I laughed. ââ¬Å"I knew there was someone.â⬠ââ¬Å"You guys are terrible,â⬠she said, though she didn't look that upset. ââ¬Å"Can I go put our name on the list?â⬠ââ¬Å"Sure,â⬠I said, still laughing. But the instant she was inside the restaurant, Doug's playful manner vanished. ââ¬Å"Well, I've got to go,â⬠he said, starting to turn away. ââ¬Å"Wait, Doug, I . . .â⬠He looked back at me, but I was at a loss. What could I say? That I was sorry for sleeping with his sister's fiance? That I was sorry for lying to all of them and breaking her heart? How could you apologize for something like that? ââ¬Å"It . . . it was good to see you,â⬠I said at last. ââ¬Å"You too,â⬠he said, though he didn't sound convincing. He nodded toward the restaurant. ââ¬Å"And her. I hope she has fun.â⬠ââ¬Å"Me too. She deserves it, what with everything else going on.â⬠He had attempted to leave again, but my words made him pause. ââ¬Å"How's her mom?â⬠I shrugged. ââ¬Å"Good days and bad days. It's up and down. . . . sometimes it seems hopeless, sometimes it's like everything's fixed. Wreaks havoc on everyone. . . . you just can't assume anything, you know? She's having some good days right now, but it's been a hard road for all of them. We just never know what's going to happen next and have to hang in there as best we can. I'm trying to help, but I don't know. . . . I don't feel like it's enough. But what could be?â⬠I promptly shut up, realizing I was rambling. Doug said nothing, his dark eyes studying me for several heavy seconds. Then, his gaze shifted to Brandy, speaking to the hostess, for a few more moments before returning to me. ââ¬Å"You're a good person, Kincaid,â⬠he said softly. And this time, he did leave. Nothing else he might have said could have surprised me more. In all the imagined conversations I'd had with Doug, I'd expected frigid politeness at best ââ¬â and that had seemed like a long shot. More often than not, I'd envisioned him telling me terrible, hurtful things, things I deserved. As much as a secret part of me yearned for him to forgive me so that we could be friends again, I really didn't think I deserved that forgiveness. I watched him walk away until Brandy stuck her head out from the restaurant door and called that they had a table. Despite how pensive my meeting with Doug left me, I was still able to enjoy the rest of the afternoon with Brandy. We were both in good spirits when we arrived back at the Mortensen home, and mine soared even higher when I saw Seth's car in the driveway. I hurried inside, eager to see him, only to have my mood shatter when I saw his face. Margaret and Terry wore similar expressions. Brandy, normally so observant, was too keyed up over her purchases to notice that there had been a significant mood shift in the house, compared to the bubbly chaos of this morning. ââ¬Å"We had such a great time,â⬠Brandy told them, face shining. ââ¬Å"I got the best dress.â⬠Margaret gave her a tight smile. ââ¬Å"Why don't you try it on for us?â⬠Brandy didn't need to be told twice, and Kendall and the twins followed her uproariously to the bedroom, offering to ââ¬Å"help.â⬠The instant they were gone, I turned to the adults. ââ¬Å"What happened?â⬠ââ¬Å"Bad prognosis at the doctor's,â⬠said Seth, when no one else spoke right away. ââ¬Å"But she was improving,â⬠I argued. I looked at them all for confirmation. ââ¬Å"Right?â⬠ââ¬Å"We thought so,â⬠said Terry. ââ¬Å"At the very least, she seemed to be feeling better. But in these situations . . . well, cancer tricks you that way. It's why people go so long without ever knowing they have it. She woke up feeling bad this morning, and the doctor confirmed our fears.â⬠I was kind of in awe at how calmly he managed to deliver that. I wasn't sure I could have without breaking down. Honestly, I didn't know how he'd been able to handle any of this with as much strength and determination as he had. If this were happening to the love of my life, I was pretty sure I'd crawl into in a corner and cry. Or would I? Looking at Seth, at those beloved features and compassionate expression, I suddenly knew that wasn't true. If the one I loved needed my strength, then I would give all I had within me. ââ¬Å"We're not telling Brandy yet,â⬠said Seth. ââ¬Å"We're not going to keep it from her, but we figured it would be best to wait until after tonight.â⬠I nodded slowly, having no words. I was usually so quick with a quip or soothing line, but what response could I make to that? Especially when, moments later, Brandy came bounding back down the stairs in the pink dress. Each twin held a shoe, and Kendall carried the glittering chandelier earrings we'd found just before lunch. I was reminded of Cinderella's mouse retainers. Brandy's tastes had been foremost in my mind while shopping, but I'd also had half an eye on what I thought her family would approve of in fashion. As she spun around for them, however, I realized it didn't matter. I could've brought her home in rags, and they would've loved it so long as she wore the look of radiance on her face that she did now. That was what sold it, one spot of pure joy in the dark cloud that kept hanging over this family. The adults were too overcome with emotion to speak, so Kendall did it for us. ââ¬Å"Doesn't she look like a princess?â⬠She kept trying to smooth nonexistent wrinkles out of the skirt, much to Brandy's dismay. ââ¬Å"I want a dress like this.â⬠Morgan sat down on the floor and tried to forcibly push the shoe on Brandy's foot while she still stood, furthering my Cinderella images. McKenna joined in as well, and both nearly succeeded in knocking their older sister over. ââ¬Å"Well?â⬠Brandy laughed. ââ¬Å"What do you think?â⬠ââ¬Å"It's beautiful,â⬠said Margaret. ââ¬Å"You're beautiful,â⬠said Terry. Having successfully dislodged the twins, Brandy stepped into the shoes, flushing under the praise of her family. ââ¬Å"I hope I don't fall in these. How stupid would that look?â⬠ââ¬Å"I don't think anything could make you look stupid,â⬠said Seth. ââ¬Å"You're perfect from head to toe.â⬠ââ¬Å"Okay, you guys,â⬠said Brandy, growing embarrassed. ââ¬Å"Now you're just pushing it.â⬠The ââ¬Å"head to toeâ⬠comment suddenly reminded me of something. ââ¬Å"Oh. I won't be here to do your hair. I have to go to work soon.â⬠At that moment, calling in sick seemed like a reasonable idea. Nothing seemed more important than giving her a perfect night. ââ¬Å"That's okay,â⬠said Brandy. ââ¬Å"I can do it. Or maybe Mom can.â⬠ââ¬Å"She's been kind of tired today,â⬠said Terry neutrally. ââ¬Å"But I know she'll want to see you before you leave.â⬠ââ¬Å"I can do a French twist,â⬠said Margaret, surprising us all. ââ¬Å"If you want to wear it up.â⬠ââ¬Å"Will you show me?â⬠asked Brandy. Margaret nodded. ââ¬Å"Sure, let's go upstairs.â⬠Before they did, Brandy paused to give me a giant hug. ââ¬Å"Thank you so much, Georgina. For everything.â⬠They went upstairs, followed by the littler girls, all of whom thought there was nothing so wonderful as dressing up their older sister. Actually, I realized, that wasn't entirely true. Not all of them felt that way. ââ¬Å"Where's Kayla?â⬠I asked. She hadn't been in the entourage. Terry sighed and ran a hand through his hair, in a way similar to what I'd often seen Seth do. ââ¬Å"In the living room, I think. She's been out of sorts today. Sometimes I think she can figure out what's going on, even when we don't tell her.â⬠With Kayla's abilities, I didn't doubt it was true. I remembered Brandy saying Kayla had been in a ââ¬Å"silent moodâ⬠since this morning and wondered just how much of her mother's illness the little girl was in tune with. I left the brothers to seek her out and found her curled up in a corner of the overstuffed sofa, making herself so small that she was almost lost in the cushions. ââ¬Å"Hey, you,â⬠I said, sitting down beside her. ââ¬Å"How's it going? Don't you want to see Brandy's dress?â⬠Kayla shifted her face, looking at me with huge blue eyes. ââ¬Å"Georgina,â⬠she said. ââ¬Å"You have to make it stay away.â⬠My thoughts were on the dress, so it took a moment for me to follow what she was saying. ââ¬Å"Make what stay away, honey?â⬠ââ¬Å"The Darkness.â⬠There was something in the way she said the word that let me know she wasn't referring to shadows. When she said ââ¬Å"Darkness,â⬠I could feel the personification in her word, the looming threat of something ââ¬â or someone ââ¬â tangible. With a pang, I remembered that Kayla had been able to sense Nyx when she'd escaped her angelic captors. I leaned toward Kayla, glad Seth and Terry were preoccupied. ââ¬Å"Kayla, are you talking about . . . about the creature you felt before? The one you could sense on me?â⬠Nyx's return would be a complication I most certainly didn't need in my life right now. She shook her head. ââ¬Å"A different one. The Darkness comes here, to my house. To see my mommy. Will you make it go away?â⬠ââ¬Å"Is it here now?â⬠I asked uneasily. ââ¬Å"No. Just sometimes.â⬠ââ¬Å"How many times?â⬠Kayla thought about it. ââ¬Å"Two.â⬠A cold feeling crept over me. ââ¬Å"Was last night one of those times?â⬠She nodded. ââ¬Å"Have you seen it?â⬠I asked her. ââ¬Å"No. But I feel it. I can tell where it's at when it's here.â⬠She peered at me beseechingly. ââ¬Å"Will you make it stop?â⬠I had no clue what this Darkness was or what I could do to stop it, but theories were running wild in my head. I kissed her forehead. ââ¬Å"I'll do what I can, baby. I promise. I've got to leave now, but I'll see what I can find out for you, okay? We'll make sure the Darkness doesn't come back.â⬠Like the flip of a switch, Kayla's whole demeanor changed. Whereas she'd been sad and withdrawn moments ago, she was now beaming and hopeful. All that faith ââ¬â in me. With my empty assurance to take on something I didn't understand, she was able to put aside all of her fears and worries. All was right in her world now, thanks to me. She put her arms around me and kissed me back, and I felt like my heart would break when I finally untangled myself from her. Holiday cheer was calling, as well as a burning need to suddenly talk to Roman. Seeing as how we kept missing each other lately, I sent him a text with a reminder of when I'd be home tonight and that I had important information for him. He was so caught up in his conspiracy theories that I wasn't sure if he'd want to make time for what he'd probably see as a little girl's fantasies. Kayla's perceptions ââ¬â despite her difficulties in articulating them ââ¬â had proven accurate before. I didn't know what she was sensing this time, but if there was a force inside the Mortensen household, I intended to stop it.

How Aristotle Uses Friendship Is The Greatest External Good
How Aristotle Uses Friendship as a Prerequisite to Happiness Aristotle states that the ââ¬Å"proper function of man consists in an activity of the soul in conformity with a rational principle, or, at least, not without itâ⬠(Page 17 1098a ll. 3-5). The proper function of man is needed to understand happiness. In this understanding, Aristotle explains that happiness is the highest good one could wish to achieve through human function. Aristotle states ââ¬Å"a happy man lives well and fares wellâ⬠(Page 19 1098b ll. 20-22). This allows the reader to begin questioning what the necessities are in order for one to fare well. One answer to this question may be in regard to friendship. Aristotle asserts that friendship is the greatest external good. According to Aristotle, it is possible to say that a friendless man is able to fare well because ââ¬Å"supremely happy and self-sufficient people do not need friendsâ⬠(Page 263 1169b ll. 2-3). However, ââ¬Å"happiness, as we have said, needs external goods as well.â⬠(Page 21 1099a ll. 32-33) With this being said, it can be determined that a friendless man cannot achieve supreme happiness, because, while he may be self sufficient, he is unable to perform acts of good for friends. While the idea of ââ¬Ëgoodââ¬â¢ is a subjective analysis that must be observed on a case by case basis, happiness is capable of being defined. Happiness is the ultimate ends to a mean. In performing the proper function of man (rationality) we are using means to achieve ends,Show MoreRelatedAristotle And Aristotle On Friendship1480 Words à |à 6 Pageswork The Nicomachean Ethics Aristotle addresses the question: what is the good life? Aristotle acknowledges that the generally accepted notion of the human good is happiness or, alternatively put, eudaimonia. The difficulty surrounding the age old question, and the topic that Aristotleââ¬â¢s Nicomachean Ethics primarily addresses, is not what we call the human good, but rather how happiness is defined and what cont ributes to a good, eudaimonic, flourishing life. College is The Perfect Start For Athletes Career - Free Essay Example
Sample details Pages: 4 Words: 1341 Downloads: 3 Date added: 2019/05/28 Category Career Essay Level High school Tags: Should College Athletes Be Paid Essay Did you like this example? College and professional sports associations have many players on their rosters. Most people on college teams are looking to advance their careers into the pros. In professional sports associations like the NFL, the MLS, or the MLB players make a contract with the team that they are participating or playing with. Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Our writers will create an original "College is The Perfect Start For Athletes Career" essay for you Create order When a player signs a contract this means that they are agreeing to play their hardest or participate as much as they can to get money in return for their efforts. So lets say that you were a football player in the NFL. You would sign a contract with the team you are playing with. What this contract would basically say is if I play for you then you have to pay me a certain amount of money. These teams can either accept this contract and agree to pay this player that amount of money or it can be vice versa where the player is agreeing to play for the team if they get a certain amount of money. Most professional athleters contracts consist of a lot of money. Most contracts, in fact almost all contracts of professional athletes are worth more than $1,000,000 a year. So that would mean that each individual NFL team gives their players a total of about $45 million. Which would mean that the NFL association in general gives players a total $1 billion and $440 million a year. You think that is a big number now wait until you hear how much college players are paid. College players make a total of zero dollars a year from playing collegiate sports. Many people ponder over why college players dont get paid to play and many think that they should. I do not think that collegiate athletes should get paid to play for their college. There is an average of about 600 athletes at most colleges, so that means if a college were to pay their athletes even as little as $1,000 a year to play they would spend $600,000 worth of money a year on college athletes. That means that colleges would spend more money paying athletes than they would spending money on research, hospital services, and institutional support combined. When you get to the point when you are in college playing sports most people, in fact nearly everyone has probably found something they are passionate in. If you are a passionate collegiate athlete then you should want to play the sport no matter if you get paid for it or not. So if collegiate athletes love the sport so much then why do they need to get paid to play it. The main point is collegiate athletes should not get paid because it majorly increases the annual money usage of colleges, it could make collegiate athletes less passionate about the sport they play, and it could possibly cause future pro blems if the better players on the team get paid more than the not so good players on the team. There are multiple sites that can back up my belief on why collegiate athletes shouldnt get paid. One of those sites is Listland.com. This site states multiple reasons on why collegiate athletes should not get paid. The first reason is that colleges simply just cannot afford to pay their athletes. Although many people believe that many college sports associations have tons of money coming into the program, but the truth is most of the money coming into the program is going right back out. For example, in 2015 Auburn University installed the newest edition, 11,000 square foot screen in their stadium. It costed the university $13.9 million to install this giant screen into their stadium. So if colleges can hardly bring in enough money to keep the athletic program going then how are they going to bring in enough money to pay all of their players as well. Another reason collegiate athletes shouldnt get paid is because for every single high school student that dreams of playing in c ollege, only about seven percent of those students actually get to go on and do it, and only two percent of them go on to play at division 1 schools. What does that mean to you? To me, that means that playing sports in college is a privilege. Some college athletes need to recognize that the opportunity that they have to play as an athlete at a college is something that millions of people dream of never accomplish. Playing sports in college should be done for the love of the game. You dont ever want it to turn into a so called job or chore. When a player is too worried about,Oh if I dont play today then I am not going to get paid then eventually that person is going to lose their fame or passion for the game. Most people see playing sports in college as their childhood dream coming true. For most people that dream wasnt to get paid a lot of money or to get rich by it. It was to play the thing they loved most in college, and when you bring money into the situation all of that goes down the drain. If you go to the professional league, yeah I get it youre going to need to have a job and get paid to provide for your family, but in college it is all about the heart of the game. Feeling the pride of walking through campus after winning a big game, and feeling the pure agony of being defeated. Another point that is made by this site to back up my belief is that elite athletes that attend schools such as Ohio State, Alabama, Florida State, Duke, UConn, Kentucky, etc. already get almost all of their college tuition paid for. Just because they arent getting paid annually to play that does not mean that they do not get perks for playing. Elite athletes get nearly their whole entire college tuition paid off because they play for the college sports association. COLLEGEdata.com states that the average tuition fee for state residents attending a public college is $9,650. The average tuition for out of state residents attending public colleges is $24,930. This means that elite players that get their college tuition nearly free save somewhere from about $10,000 to $25,000. Elite players also get perks in addition to their nearly free college tuition fee, this could cause a bit of drama between these elite players and average players because the elite players may have gotten a fre e tuition along with some perks with it as the average players would of had to pay for their own tuition. According to medium.com another reason why college athletes shouldnt get paid is because sports program at a college gets paid then every other sports program at the school is going to want to get paid too. So letrs say they a college was going to start paying the college football players an annual salary. What about the boys or girls volleyball and soccer teams. It isnt fair they they are just excluded from the money because they dont accumulate and bring in as much money as the big picture sports like basketball and football. There are many reasons why college players either dont deserve to be paid or should not be paid. College is a time for fun, exploration, and learning. Almost like high school but with more freedom. It is where you have to start getting serious about what you want to do with you life but it still allows you to have fun and do what you love. For a lot of people that think they want to do forever is play sports. College is the perfect opportunity for some people to really start their career as an athlete. It is to be taken seriously but it is also to be enjoyed. Paying players in college to play is only going to make things more complicated. Use college as a time to play the sport you love not worry about how much you are getting paid to do something you want to do.

Staff and service user belief and value systems can cause communication issues. It is important to put your own beliefs and values to one side and be open minded to others. If we rigidly place upon others our beliefs and values this will effect communication. When communicating with family members it is important to respect confidentiality both from the family member and the service user. Knowing so much about a service user over a period of 6 months can cause complacency in what staff know about a client and where communicating with family can become controversial. I always check out who is calling or enquiring about a client before disclosing any information. Client confidentiality contracts are signed by service users and next of kin is identified. Staff members also sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure there are procedures should confidentiality be broken. When communicating with outside agencies, issues occasionally arise. The Case Study of Atlassian Software Company Samples for Students
Question: Discuss about the Case Study of Atlassian Software Company. Answer: Introduction: Atlassian is one of those startup companies that have reached the highs as a full-grown enterprise within a very short period. Having started its journey in 2002 and founded by Mike-Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar its software facilitates the business teams to unleash their complete potential by collaborating successfully. The software made by Atlassian is also in demand as it acts as developmental tool for agile teams. This Australian based company has been all the rage with their very first software, JIRA that was a great success (Atlassian, 2017). At present, Atlassian operates in six locations of prominent nations and the products of this company help the team members of several different companies to achieve their visions and perform things accordingly (Scholes et al. 2014). However, the unique business policies of Atlassian and especially their product sales and distribution strategy have been the key to success. Porters Five Forces Analysis An analysis of Porters five forces will help to understand better, how the competitive forces of the tech industry have shaped the strategies of Atlassian all these years. If Atlasssians marketing strategy is observed it will show how the company has entirely redefined the competitive strategies of tech companies along with their outlook to address competition in the rapidly evolving market (Gazzola and Colombo 2014). Profitability The enterprise Atlassian was formed on credit of around A$10000 by the entrepreneurs Mike Cannon Brookes and Scott Farquhar. In no time, the venture was a success and generated revenue of worth A$1 million in the very first year. Later, in the year 2005-06 the company grew to an enterprise of worth A$149 million; deservingly, the founders of the company Mike Cannon Brookes and Scott Farquhar were titled with entrepreneur of the year by accounting giant Ernest and Young (Atlassian, 2017). In recent years, Atlassian reported to have generated $215 million as revenue in 2014 and in the next year, FY15 Atlassian reached to A$319.5 million, having a considerable increase of 49 percent on the previous years revenue (Atlassian, 2017). Competitor Analysis: The tech market in which Atlassian operates is immensely competitive in nature and the solutions for effective rivalry are rather fragmented. In addition, this IT market has relative low barriers for new entrants and the threat of competing with the new ones remains always. Atlassian face competition from the larger software companies as well as from the traditional ones (van den Bosch and De Man 2013). The larger software organizations offer complete productivity suites and collaboration, while on the other hand, smaller companies offer specific products for precise use cases and also for features. Among all the competitors of Atlassian in the market, the principal ones are Microsoft Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Google, Salesforce.com and the like (Atlassian, 2017). However, Atlassian has surpassed most of them with their innovative distribution model. Most of the companies follow the traditional distribution models for their companies where they concentrate on quota-based sal es representatives and tend to rely on cracking large deals. This strategy is not appropriate to meet the requirements of the teams because the teams of different organizations are constantly driving their decisions of purchasing technology. Macro Environmental Factors: The Macro Environmental Factors of Atlassian is revealed through the Pestle analysis of the company. This analysis would require detailed investigation on political, economic, social, technological and legal factors of the enterprise (Bharadwaj et al. 2013). Political Factors: Operating in six prominent locations at present and that too in different continents, Atlassian like all other multinational giants has to huge amount of taxes especially in the region of U.S and Netherlands. High tax rates are likely to increase subscription rates of the Atlassian products. Economic Factors: The inflation rates and the factor of Gross Domestic Product tend to have an impact on the purchasing ability of the consumers. As the economy of any nation declines, it though not directly, but indirectly affects the purchasing ability of the buyers (Gazzola and Colombo 2014). Among the six locations where Atlassian operates now, Netherlands, San Francisco and California in the States, Philippines, Japan and of course Australia, all are developed countries leaving Philippines. Hence, this tech company has less risk to suffer from any such fluctuations in the economic factors. Social Factors: More and more companies are becoming multinational and technologically advanced these days. Therefore, the demand for the software made by Atlassian is likely to increase. Atlassian also focuses on staff wellbeing and for this donates a considerable amount of its profit. In addition, numerous children in the developing countries are helped by Atlassian to receive education. Their leave schemes are also framed to cater to the employee interests. Technological Factors: Being a tech enterprise, the major concern for Atlassian will obviously be technological factors. This industry is rapidly reshaping itself generating high competition and Atlassian, keeping this fact in mind is spending a lot in technological improvement. From FY13 to FY15 it spent a huge amount of US$247.6 million on research and developmental work. Besides, to upgrade its technological aspects Atlassian has purchased tools like instant messenger HipChat, Crucible and Fisheye and Clover as well as acquired Stepkas Authentisoft (Atlassian, 2017). Legal Factors: The legal factors affecting Atlassians business across the globe are currency exchange, legal registrations to obtain outsourcing facilities for the business purposes and in the case of cross country businesses. Atlassians Corporate Strategy: The corporate strategy of a company determines how the enterprise can attach value over the organizations business grounded on its resources and competencies (Guiso, Sapienza and Zingales 2015). Based on the RC module of corporate strategy, the purpose of analyzing corporate strategy of Atlassian is to identify its valuable resources that put in value to the corporate portfolio of the said company. In order to review the corporate strategy of Atlassian first its resources and competences are to be analyzed. Physical Resources: Atlassian has strong presence in four of the continents and its production capacity is pretty impressive as several popular products have been lunched under the enterprise within these few years. Financial Resources: Atlassian has considerably strong financial resources in form of investors and besides, the company itself generates huge revenue. Human Resources: Atlassian has currently 17000 employees from across the globe working for the company. Intellectual Capital: The company has nearly 13 products patented under its name and more than 60000 satisfied customers using them. Discussing about the competences of Atlassian, both threshold and core competences need to be discussed. Threshold competences: According to this, a company is required to fulfill the minimum requirements of the customers. Employing its unique resources, especially those that support competitive advantage a company continues to sustain the industry competition. In view of this, Atlassian understands the consumers demand very well that they want cheaper products of high quality and easily available. Atlassian by making their products available online eliminating sales force from the marketing and distributing process fulfills these conditions (Grant 2016). Core Competences: Their strategy for online marketing is difficult for others to imitate; where most of the competitive companies still depend on sales representatives to distribute their products, Atlassian has eliminated this phase and thus, has an edge over its competitors. Other than these RC factors, the following aspects are also part of corporate strategy analysis. Growth: Having started its journey in the year 2002, the company has shown signs of steady growth in the past 14 years; from being a startup, it is at present, a full-grown enterprise with almost 2000 people (Atlassian, 2017). Organizational Management: The HR strategy of the company is considerably good it has been hiring competent individuals from across the globe (Guiso, Sapienza and Zingales 2015). Besides that, the smooth operation of the company explains high-quality organizational management. RD technology: Atlassian emphasizes developing and improving its intellectual and technology properties, which is why it has been spending a lot on research works. Risk: However, Atlassian bears considerable amount of risk factor in its style of business. In the first place, the industry, in which it belongs demands continuous innovation and this will be challenging to the company to keep innovating. Besides, to continue with the no sales force strategy in a competitive market is also a matter of great risk (Amini and Bienstock 2014). Service delivery: Every organization must look into its customer experience and that whether they are facing any trouble to use their products (Albeladi, Khan and Khan 2014). In this case, Atlassian is always improving the way they operate and receiving feedbacks from the customers on regular basis. Atlassians Business Strategy: It is an inescapable fact that a strong and well-thought business strategy provides an organization the desired foundation as well as platform to achieve its goals. It consists of the key factors like corporate culture, strategic planning and strategic intents, its evaluation and future thinking and these factors decide how a company is likely to attain its goals. Discussing about Atlassians business strategy these above-mentioned factors are worth analyzing: Corporate Culture: Corporate Culture or Organizational culture of a company refers to its collective beliefs and ideals, vision, leadership, teamwork, flexibility and change management. Atlassian, as a company has a clear set of beliefs and ideals. It is an open company and sharing becomes their first principle. The corporate culture of the company insists the members to spark the change within them first and prioritizes continuous improvement above all. It is an organization that is not driven by pure business intentions but with heart and passion, keeping a balance between everything (Amini and Bienstock 2014). They regard their customers as their topmost priority and ensure that the consumers have a flawless experience at every stage of their purchase. They even evaluate the experience of the buyers after sale and consider their perspective as well. Their teamwork culture is of high praise; they strive to put that first which is right for the team and due to a happy workplace, all the members willingly devote much of their time at job. Strategic Planning and Strategic Intent: Atlassian as a tech company has rightly identified the nerve of this industry i.e. to outpace all other rival companies by rapidly advancing in high-growth fields like cloud computing, data analytics, cyber security, XaaS and lastly in digital content. Atlassian has been quite vigilant in grasping these technological factors of progress and has incorporated most of them in their software products (Grant 2016). Alongside this, Atlassian follows a unique sales and distribution strategy that keeps it much ahead of other competitors. The philosophy of no sales force allows the organization to spend the minimum amount on sales and marketing, as all its products are directly available on the official website of their company. The buyers have the facility of free trial and after that; they are allowed to directly subscribe the software from the site. This also establishes direct relationship between the customers and the company. Atlassians distribution model explains how they have thoughtfully connected them with the customers at every step. They believe in building great products, keeping the price considerably low, pursuing volume, selling the products online, maintaining transparency in pricing and making the trials easy and hence, easy trials require great products so the cycle ends with creating great and innovative products (van den Bosch and De Man 2013). Evaluation of Strategic Planning: Their strategy of no sales force has been a huge success until now and the high revenues generated by them go in their favor. In 2015, Atlassian had to spend only 21% of its revenue in sales and marketing. Future Thinking: Having been established as a brand with this strategy, Atlassian intends to continue with it. Besides, its endeavor to improve continuously will certainly benefit them in the long run (Atlassian, 2017). Strategic Leadership: The entrepreneurs Scott Farquhar and Mike Cannon-Brookes have been the leaders of exceptional influence throughout, who have successfully gathered competent workforce for their company and with the vision of reaching the peak have made Atlassian a well-established brand in tech industry. The way they have made the company adaptable with the rapidly changing industry with their uniquely structured policies, shows clear sign of strategic leadership (Nahavandi 2016). Current Position of Atlassian: Having begun as a startup Atlassian went on for several acquisitions and its most popular products like JIRA, Confluence spawn huge revenue for the company every year (Atlassian, 2017). Presently, Atlassian is in a very stable condition as a company and shows prominent signs to remain that in future also. Conclusion: Winding up the discussion, as the case study reveals it can be said that Atlassians greatest contributory feature in the tech industry is to implement no sales force model that shows new ways to the smaller companies and new startups. Unlike others, it spends more amount of money in building products rather than marketing and selling their products. They are in the right track to say that creating great products automatically attracts customers if the products are made easily available to them. Besides, the organization highly concentrates on employee as well as customer satisfaction and this explains the reason behind their remarkable success.
